Dr. Alicia Stoutland truly loves working with her patients and improving their dental health and self-esteem. She takes great pride in getting to know each patient and ensuring that treatment is a pleasant experience for all concerned. Dr. Stoutland is committed to providing the latest in orthodontic techniques for increased patient comfort and better treatment results.
Dr. Stoutland grew up outside of Annapolis, Maryland, and she received her undergraduate degree from the University of Maryland College Park. She then earned her dentistry degree from the University of Maryland Dental School, where she was a member of Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society. Dr. Stoutland completed a one year General Practice Residency at the Philadelphia VA Hospital. She then completed a three year Orthodontic Residency at Albert Einstein Medical Center, where she was involved in cleft lip and palate research.
She is a member of the American Dental Association, American Association of Orthodontics, and the Middle Atlantic Society of Orthodontists, as well as being a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics. Dr. Stoutland resides in West Chester with her husband Brett and their two kids. They are frequent runners, enjoy being active, and love spending time with their miniature schnauzer, Abbie.
Dr. Hayes is in the full-time clinical practice of orthodontics in Ridley Park, Pennsylvania and Chadds Ford, Pennsylvania. He is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists and the American Dental Association, and he is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics, as well as a member of the College of Diplomates of the American Board of Orthodontics.
Dr. Hayes attended the University of South Carolina, graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree. He received his D.D.S. with honors from the Medical College of Virginia, where he was also awarded a National Institutes of Health Fellowship to study Genetics. Upon completing a three year residency in orthodontics, he entered on active military duty in the United States Army, rising to the rank of Major.
Dr. Hayes is a co-holder of a US patent in cardiac technology, was a charter member of the MCV Orthodontic Education and Research Foundation, and has served as an advisor to Medelex, Inc. since 1994. He has authored or co-authored publications in several dental journals, and has lectured to dental groups both in the US and abroad.
